1. Our commitment

Wilkes Web Co. believes people should be able to understand, navigate, and interact with the website regardless of ability or the technology they use. Accessibility is considered during design, development, writing, and ongoing maintenance rather than treated as a one-time feature.

We welcome feedback from people who use screen readers, screen magnification, voice input, keyboard navigation, switch devices, captions, alternative color settings, or other assistive technologies.

2. Our accessibility target

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as our accessibility target. WCAG provides internationally recognized guidance for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

This target expresses our ongoing goal and should not be read as a certification that every page or feature is fully conformant at all times. Websites change, browsers and assistive technologies behave differently, and barriers can be missed. We will address confirmed issues in a reasonable and timely manner.

3. Measures we take

The current website includes measures intended to improve access, including:

• semantic page landmarks, headings, lists, links, and form controls;
• a “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users;
• keyboard operation for navigation and the appearance controls in the Accessibility menu;
• visible keyboard focus indicators;
• text labels and instructions for contact-form fields;
• descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and hidden treatment for decorative visuals;
• responsive layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, zoom, and larger text;
• light and dark color themes designed for readable contrast;
• an optional high-contrast mode that removes decorative background artwork and presents content on solid, high-contrast surfaces; and
• reduced or removed animation when a visitor enables a reduced-motion preference.

4. Compatibility

This website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and with commonly used assistive technologies supported by those browsers. For the best experience, use an up-to-date browser and operating system.

Older browsers, unusual browser settings, or unsupported combinations of browsers and assistive technology may produce different results. If that prevents access, please contact us for assistance.

5. Known limitations

We are not currently aware of a barrier that prevents access to the website’s primary information. However, we may not have identified every issue.

Images of completed or example website designs may contain small visual details that are not intended to communicate essential information. The important project details are also provided as text beside each image.

When possible, include the page address, a short description of what happened, and the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using. You do not need to disclose a disability. We aim to acknowledge accessibility messages within two business days and will work toward an appropriate resolution based on the nature of the issue.

7. Assessment and updates

This website is reviewed through internal, code-level self-evaluation as it is developed and updated. That process does not replace feedback from people with disabilities or comprehensive testing with every assistive-technology combination.
